Is something striking a chord behind the scenes?

At the moment, I’m spending some time at ÖKA with words, images and the little details of our website. The site is getting a fresh look, our offerings are being organised, and the first pages are being translated into English. French will follow later. Our newsletter is also taking shape — helping what grows here find its way to you more easily.

As I write and revise, I notice how deeply I sometimes immerse myself. A sentence stays with me; a word doesn’t quite fit yet. I listen inwardly: What do we really want to say? What is at the heart of what we offer and experience together here?

At times, it becomes almost meditative. Time fades into the background, and I sink into those inner spaces where something tangible gradually takes shape. Even this work behind the scenes can feel like a little retreat. For me, at least. And although I’m no digital nomad, I do occasionally disappear into the spaces between the threads of the web.

At the same time, there’s the joy of becoming visible, of reaching out into the world. Perhaps a text will find someone who is looking for sound. For relaxation, inspiration or people to share something with. For a community where you can simply be yourself and discover something new. Perhaps finding instruments and having the chance to try them for the very first time.

That’s why we’re opening our digital doors a little wider, too. To make room for encounters — here in Überlingen and across language barriers.

Perhaps the next connection begins with a sound. Perhaps with a coffee. Or with a sentence you recognise yourself in.

Reading leads to meeting. Meeting becomes deep listening. And then, here we are — simply ourselves, in resonance.
